Your electric bill doesn't have to be terrifying this summer. A few simple swaps make a bigger difference than you'd think.

🪟 Keep blinds and curtains closed during peak sun hours- especially south and west facing windows
🌀 Use ceiling fans to circulate cool air and run them counterclockwise in summer
🕯️ Swap out incandescent bulbs- they generate more heat than you realize
🍳 Cook outside or use small appliances instead of heating up the oven
🌙 Open windows at night when temps drop to let cool air in naturally

No offense to the apps- but a Zestimate is not a home valuation. It's an algorithm doing its best with public data it may or may not have right. It doesn't know that your kitchen was just renovated. It doesn't know the roof is new. It doesn't know what's actually been happening on your street in the last 90 days.
