PUBLIC DISCLOSURE: Missing Records in the Search for Justice
Transparency is not optional for public officials.
As part of a formal Right-to-Know request regarding the June 11, 2005, pedestrian hit-and-run in Osceola Mills, we received a startling admission from the current administration.
The former District Attorney utilized private servers and emails for official business and those were never turned over at the end of his tenure. This means that critical investigative details, internal discussions, and evidence regarding unsolved cases are currently sitting in a private, inaccessible location.
The Facts:
• Private Servers: Official business was conducted outside of the county’s monitored systems.
• Withheld Data: These records were not surrendered to the incoming DA or the county archives.
• The Impact: This creates a massive "dark spot" in the timeline of my father's case and others that remain unsolved.
Justice cannot be served if the paperwork is hidden in a private inbox. We are sharing the official response below to show the community the roadblocks we are facing.
We will not stop pushing until every stone is turned over and every record is accounted for.
