James Smejkal earned his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. While at Mercer Law, he interned at the Houston County Public Defender’s Office. James zealously advocated on behalf of indigent clients who were committed of crimes. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar, a member of Judge Wieland American Inn of Court and member of the Florida Workers' Advocates. Dena Smejkal earned her juris doctorate at FAMU Law in Orlando, Florida. While in law school Dena interned with the school's domestic violence legal clinic where she advocated for indigent victims of domestic violence in Orange County. Dena also interned with the school's Guardian ad Litem program. Dena is a member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar and volunteers at the Orange County legal aide as a Guardian ad Litem attorney. She is also an active member of the Florida Workers’ Advocates.
