Nova Southeastern University law professor Bob Jarvis caught heat for a comments he made in a Daily Business Review article about litigation involving Fort Lauderdale attorney Bruce K. Herman and his son, Matthew F. Herman of the Herman Law Group, where Broward Circuit Judge Carlos Augusto Rodriguez was presiding over aspects of the litigation.
According to a June 11, 2025, demand letter sent by Rodriguez's Miami attorney, Alejandro “Alex” Brito, those remarks were “false, misleading, and defamatory.”
Jarvis has now conceded the error.
