Some people change the entire course of your life without ever fully realizing how much they did.
A couple of days ago, I learned that my old boss, mentor, and dear friend, Paula Givler, passed away, and I still can’t quite believe it. My heart is so heavy.
I owe so much of my real estate career to Paula. She took a chance on me when I had no real estate experience at all, when this was never even the path I thought I would take. She saw something in me long before I fully saw it in myself. She believed in me, encouraged me, pushed me, and kept reminding me that I was capable of more.
Paula was the one who brought me into this industry. She introduced me to my first networking events when I knew absolutely nothing. She showed me what hustle looked like. If you knew Paula, you know that woman knew how to work, build, connect, and make things happen. I admired her so much for that. When we worked together, we made a great team. She would bring in the business, and I would keep everything running behind the scenes. It just worked.
But beyond business, Paula was caring, loyal, supportive, and full of life. If she cared about you, she wanted to help you. She was the kind of person who made an impact, not only professionally, but personally. She was good to me in so many ways, and over time she became more than a boss. She became a true friend.
I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to know her, work with her, learn from her, and love her. The real estate professional I am today was born because Paula Givler took a chance on me.
Thank you, Paula, for your belief, your love, your guidance, your sincere friendship, and your example. I will keep growing, keep pushing, and keep reaching for my full potential, not only for myself, but to honor the legacy you left behind.
Rest easy. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. ♥️ 🕊️🙏🏾
