Pabon Figueroa was born in Puerto Rico, where she attended school, including undergraduate college and law school. In January 2005, Evelyn moved to Florida and has made Central Florida her home since then.In 2004, Evelyn earned her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. Prior to this, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentration in Politic
al Science, also with honors, from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. As part of her legal studies, she completed an internship with the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office, Juvenile Division. In addition, she completed a one year clinical program with the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law Legal Assistance Office representing indigent criminal defendants.For Evelyn, education is very important and she works to make sure that, in addition to properly representing her clients, she educates them about the legal process and issues involved in their cases. While attending law school, Evelyn worked as an English teacher for the Puerto Rico Public Education System. In addition, while in middle and high school, she worked in summer camps assisting teachers in the education of those students that were completing summer courses/camps. Furthermore, as an attorney she has spoken about Social Security disability at support group meetings and has presented seminars at the CPLS, PA offices regarding immigration, foreclosure defense, and bankruptcy.Evelyn is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of Florida and Puerto, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
