A little throwback to 2011…and a meaningful reminder of where it all started.

Rebecca’s feature in Attorney at Law Magazine marked an early chapter in a career dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most personal legal challenges.
Today, Rebecca continues that commitment through her work with family-law clients across Florida, helping individuals and families navigate divorce, custody, mediation, collaborative law, and other complex family matters with care and clarity.

Her voice also extends beyond the office. Rebecca remains active in her community, shares legal insight through speaking and writing, and frequently contributes to conversations in Law.com, Law360, Orlando Sentinel, WIRED, Attorney at Law Magazine, and Fox 35 News Orlando.

We’re proud of the journey, grateful to our community, and honored to be here for the families who place their trust in us.

Preparing for a family law consultation can feel overwhelming. Bringing the right documents helps your attorney understand the full picture, and helps you make the most of your time together.

Here is a start to help you feel prepared:

Financial records: Recent tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, retirement accounts, debts, and monthly expenses.
Kids’ schedules: School calendars, childcare arrangements, activities, medical needs, and current parenting routines.

Key dates: Marriage and separation dates, major financial changes, court dates, and any important incidents or communications.

Existing legal documents: Prenuptial agreements, prior court orders, custody agreements, and relevant filings.

Questions to ask: Write them down in advance so you can cover what matters most. Think about options, timelines, costs, and next steps.

Every situation is different, so don’t worry if you don’t have everything yet. We can help you identify what matters most and identify what else may be important for those next steps.

When we slow down to listen, we make space for stories, perspectives, and experiences that can bring greater understanding to the people we love.

Whether a family is navigating change, celebrating milestones, or simply finding its way forward, connection often starts with a conversation.

At Rebecca L. Palmer Law Group, we believe that empathy and understanding matter within families, throughout every stage of life.

Not every family story belongs online.

If someone doesn’t post their children, or only shares certain moments, there may be more to the story.

Privacy, safety concerns, custody arrangements, grief, family dynamics, and personal boundaries can all shape that decision.

We rarely know what’s happening behind the scenes. A little understanding can go a long way. 🤍

The start of a new school year can expose gaps in even the most carefully managed co-parenting routine. Any parental disputes can quickly shift attention away from the child and toward the parents’ grievances, making objective safeguards essential. In her Orlando Sentinel article, Rebecca Palmer offers practical planning steps that can reduce conflict and help parents keep the focus on their child, including plans for extracurricular activities, emergency contacts, and transportation.

As an example, Rebecca writes that transportation logistics should be planned in advance. Specifically, she urges parents to “establish how changes will be communicated, and who will handle unexpected disruptions.” Rebecca writes, “Parents should also share school and extracurricular calendars through a shared calendar or app. Cooperating when an occasional change happens helps preserve goodwill and keeps the focus on the child.”
