Not every case needs to be litigated but we pride ourselves in knowing which need to be pushed. In this case, we knew the value of this case. The insurance companies low balled the entire time. In fact, after we impassed the pointless mediation, the mediator gave us some “friendly advice” that we were overvaluing the case. Anyway, we were right to hold out for the true value of the claim!

The algorithms prefer the numbers but we prefer the 5⭐️ reviews! We thrive off word of mouth referrals. We appreciate all of our clients and strive to get them the best possible outcomes. We do not triage our cases based on potential value. This is why every client gets our actual cell phone numbers and only speak directly with Jon or Mike.

This was a hard fought battle against a defendant that refused to take responsibility. The driver of the vehicle was more interested in another accident while driving that he caused this one! What made matters worse was the owner of the vehicle refused to take responsibility. The lack of accountability went so far as for the defense to hire an expert to inspect and opine on their vehicle. The expert either 1) inspected the wrong vehicle or 2) provided an opinion based on false information. Either way, this huge misstep helped get our client a great result!

The big numbers and results tend to get much of the attention in this industry. But it is the people and their willingness to send positive reviews and refer people they care about that really makes the difference. Achieving a great result for a client is a good day but having a happy client, regardless of the result, is a great day!

Another proof of concept! 3 years ago, Florida experienced “tort reform.” Fear was endemic for those that help injury victims. We, however, chose to weaponize the law. This particular case was tragic not only because of the damages but also due to the relative lack of insurance coverage. There was only $110,000 of insurance coverage. However, as mentioned above, we weaponized “tort reform” and achieved this fully collected result. Bad faith cases are rare but the right attorneys are always looking multiple steps ahead to achieve the best possible results!

Last night’s inaugural Pints & Pigtails exceeded every expectation and was an incredible success. The response from our community was overwhelming; we ultimately had to close registration after reaching capacity, welcoming more than twice the number of participants we originally anticipated. The venue was filled to capacity, creating an atmosphere of laughter, learning, and genuine connection.

Perhaps the most rewarding part of the evening was seeing that nearly half of the dads brought their daughters with them. What began as a simple hair styling workshop became something much more meaningful: an opportunity for fathers and daughters to spend quality time together, build confidence, and create lasting memories. Watching fathers proudly master braids and ponytails alongside their daughters was a powerful reflection of Harbor House of Central FL mission to redefine what healthy masculinity looks like through connection, compassion, and positive relationships. This was a special case because it was a proof of concept. This client was in a terrible accident. They called Jonathon to discuss. He spent nearly an hour answering questions and discussing the case. They candidly asked why they shouldn’t hire a firm with more prominent advertising. They were told to call them and see how long it takes to actually speak to an attorney, let alone their attorney. They called a more visible firm and received the experience that was predicted: first it was a call center, then it was whatever attorney they could find to get on the phone but that attorney couldn’t or wouldn’t answer their specific questions. The client came back to us because we always spend time answering questions with any potential client before even having the contract signed and always give out our direct cell phone. Last weekend, in our continuing commitment to support our local communities, we sponsored the 12th Annual Orange & Blue Tarpon Tournament to support Pinellas County Gator Club . The fishing tournament raises money for scholarships awarded to rising Gators in the local community. This year they raised over $15,000 worth of scholarships to help 5 future UF alumna to attend school!
