Emigré de Bogotá, Colombia, a los Estados Unidos con una visa de prometida en el 2008 y me convertí e

n ciudadana americana en el 2012. Trabajé como asistente legal de inmigración para tres abogados locales y como columnista de inmigración para la Revista Eco Latino. Luego estudié derecho en Florida Coastal School of Law-FCSL, donde ejercí el derecho de inmigración durante mi segundo y tercer año de estudios, bajo la supervisión del Consultorio Jurídico de FCSL. En el 2018 obtuve el título de Juris Doctor con honores por servicio pro bono y un posgrado en derecho penal. Después de pasar el examen del Colegio de Abogados en el primer intento me convertí en abogada en abril de 2019. He sido miembro de la Asociación de Abogados de Inmigración de los Estados Unidos-AILA (por sus siglas en inglés), desde que era estudiante. En mayo del 2019, abrí esta firma con el fin de ayudar a otros en su proceso migratorio ofreciendo mi experiencia y perspectiva como inmigrante bilingüe y abogada. Conseguir el estatus migratorio es fundamental para construir una nueva vida y alcanzar el sueño Americano. ENGLISH

I immigrated from Bogotá, Colombia, to the US under a Fiancée visa in 2008 and became an American citizen in 2012. After working as an immigration paralegal for three local attorneys and as an immigration columnist for Eco Latino Magazine, I went to Florida Coastal School of Law-FCSL where I practiced immigration law during my second and third year under the supervision of the FCSL Legal Clinics. In 2018, I obtained a Juris Doctor degree with pro bono honors and a graduate certificate in criminal law. I have been an AILA member since I was a law student. I opened this firm to assist others in their immigration journey. I can offer to others my experience and perspective as a bilingual immigrant and immigration practitioner. Obtaining immigration status is instrumental to build a new life and achieve the American Dream.
