The city will hold its 2026 Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade at 2 p.m. on today, Fat Tuesday, February 17th. Area veterans will lead the parade once again on the “The General” fire truck.
Parade route: The parade rolls on Perdido Beach Boulevard, starting at the traffic signal at Wolf Bay Lodge, east of Phoenix West, and travel east ending at the intersection at Highway 161 and Perdido Beach Boulevard, just past the Publix shopping center. At the median, which begins at the Romar Beach Access, the parades will move to the eastbound lanes (southside of the beach highway.). See map below.
Lineup: Counting The Marshals’ motorcycles, more than 100 units will take part in Orange Beach’s afternoon Fat Tuesday parade. Participating units will include “The General,” the city’s boat float and pirate ship, the Orange Beach High School marching band, red snapper float, marlin float, Orange Beach Golf Center, many Coastal Resources vehicles representing Leave Only Footprints, The Marshals motorcycles, 12 Mystic of Pleasure floats, three Mystical Order of Aurora floats, three Krewe of Lafitte floats, two Treasures of the Isle floats, two Sirens of the Sea floats, two Order of Disorder buses, two Maidens in Pink Stilettos floats, two Maidens of Mischief floats, and two Lost Key Krewe floats. Other participants include Aqua Yaks Krewe, Blu Kollar Krewe, City of Gulf Shores, Gulf State Park, Krewe de Brew, Krewe de Chamber (aka Coastal Alabama Business Chamber), Krewe de Sol, Krewe of Airship Pirates, Krewe of Bon Temps Cabrix, Krewe of the Island, Krewe of Warriors, Mystic Order of Revelry, Order of Misfits, Pyrates of Perdido Bay and Sunny 105, among many other businesses and groups.
Road closure advisory: During Fat Tuesday’s parade, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Tuesday from as early as 1 p.m. until as late as 4 p.m. Orange Beach Police Department keeps the roads open for as long as possible before the parade starts.
