Charlee Renaud Lear Secures Dismissal of Criminal Case in St. Landry Parish
ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. — Attorney Charlee Renaud Lear secured the dismissal of a criminal case against her client, Corey, who faced a minimum of five years of incarceration if convicted.
The prosecutor dismissed the case on September 23, 2026, due to insufficient evidence following a preliminary examination hearing conducted by Lear.
“From the beginning, I believed in Corey’s innocence and was committed to ensuring the evidence was carefully examined,” said Lear. “With his freedom and future at stake, it was important to stand beside him and challenge the case against him. I am pleased the prosecutor dismissed the case.”
Corey’s last name is being withheld at his request to respect his privacy.
