The high school volleyball career of my “One.Two.,” has come to a close. What a joy it has been! God, thank you for the gifts you’ve given Gracie. Thank you to Jennifer and Maggie Rodham for introducing Gracie to volleyball. Thanks to coaches C. Walker and A. Strickland at Oneonta H.S. for pushing Gracie to be the best she can be. Thank you to Coach Jamie (Univ. of Hawaii), shown on the video teaching Gracie how to hit a slide, for developing Gracie’s swing and that “I wish somebody 6’5” would dare try to stop me,” attitude. Last, but not least, I thank Coach Rose Powell (84” US Women’s Olympic Volleyball Team, Ala. A&M Head Volleyball Coach and owner of RCVC Volleyball Club), who as shown in the video, came out of her office to teach a little girl who she heard hitting serves by herself in an empty gym. Thank you Coach Rose for seeing a diamond in the rough, developing and mentoring Gracie. I’m going to be extra excited to see “One.Two” play at the next level. Announcement coming!

So proud of my Gracie ( affectionately nicknamed One.Two) and the Rocket City National 18 team for going 5-1 and losing by two points in the final of the Southern Regional Tournament in Atlanta this weekend. They showed great grit and class.
