ESPECIALLY if you have nothing to hide. They serve you, not the other way around. There are three things to say to a police officer: 1. Am I under arrest? 2. OK, then, can I go now? I want my lawyer. Then SHUT UP! shutting up is using your right to remain silent.

75% of the police reports that I deal with say that my client "confessed" to the crime. But when I talk to my client they don't say that they confessed, they say that they tried to explain things to the officer. Just Shut Up! Be Patient. Wait for your lawyer to arrive.
