CDR's Bart Jay Robey will be speaking on the topic of litigation tactics in the COVID-19 pandemic era at the Claims Litigation Management Annual Conference in Atlanta on August 12.
CLM is dedicated to meeting the professional development needs of the claims and litigation management industries. The annual conference brings together claims and litigation professionals for more than 100 educational sessions focused on all facets of the industry.

Oklahoma's spring storm season is right around the corner, so it's not too late to prepare. For large or small business, it's advisable to do some things *now*: 1. Know your insurance policy's coverage and required procedures for reporting a claim; 2. Establish your plan and responsibilities of employees in case of a disaster; 3. Designate someone to communicate directly with an insurance adjusting team; 4. Back up your computer data and use the cloud if possible; 5. Take stock of your assets -- do you have a good inventory of all your equipment, supplies, etc.?

Eric Moen is our senior associate, engaged in litigation of everything from products liability to trucking accident cases. He is a 2012 grad of the University of Oklahoma College of law. After graduation he served as an associate general counsel for OU and joined the firm in 2017.
Eric is a native of Liberal, Kansas. He lives in Norman with spouse Carly and their four boys (which means a lot of driving to youth sporting events).

Our colleague and friend June Chubbuck and her late husband, Gary, our firm founder, were honored this weekend by the Langston University Wesley Foundation for their longtime contributions to the organization.
The Chubbucks were instrumental in establishing the Wesley Center on campus in 2007, as well as founding a social skills and etiquette program for students, developing a Summer Youth Academy for elementary and mid-high students and a leadership program for college students affiliated with the Wesley Foundation.

CDR partner Bart Jay Robey has been selected to the Oklahoma SuperLawyer-Rising Star list for 2016.
Robey's primary practice area is the defense of products liability, bad faith, and property/casualty claims. Mr. Robey’s broad range of experience includes resolution of disputes in Oklahoma state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation forums.
Mr. Robey currently serves as the President for the Oklahoma Chapter of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, the Federal Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Mr. Robey graduated from The George Washington University Law School in 2003 where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Moot Court Board. While in law school, he also clerked for the late Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Marian Opala. Mr. Robey received his bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C.
Born in Oklahoma City, Mr. Robey and his family live in the Heritage Hills neighborhood just north of downtown where he serves as the Secretary for Historic Preservation, Inc. A proud supporter of the Oklahoma City community, Mr. Robey is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.
