A hotel stay is supposed to be the easy part of your trip.

When a wet floor, a broken railing, or a dark stairwell puts you in the ER, the hotel's insurance company is already working against you.

Proving what happened comes down to four things. And the evidence you save in the first 24 hours matters more than most people know.

This is what it looks like behind the scenes.

Cordero and Jackson, two of our legal assistants, moving through the day the same way the whole team does: together, with purpose, and with you in mind.

Every case at Parrish DeVaughn has a full team behind it.
That's not a selling point. That's just how we operate.

Our 4 Pepper Blend started as a small way to be a part of this community: no case, no consultation, just something to bring home and put on your dinner table.

Business leaders, neighbors, defense lawyers, former clients, even a few familiar faces around town have all asked for a bottle.

Stop by the office, introduce yourself, and we'll hand you one ourselves.

We wanted to give you a sneak peek at something we've never done before.

The new commercial opens in a diner... a simple scene, but it says a lot. There's big insurance on one side and an injured person on the other, and Murry and Pepper walk up to the counter to help even the odds.

That's really what this is about: making sure people aren't facing the big guys alone.

It usually comes a day or two after the accident. A calm voice on the phone, asking how you're feeling.
It feels like a kindness. Sometimes even a relief.

Here's the myth: that call is just a courtesy.

Here's the fact: adjusters are trained to build a case early, while people are still shaken up and talking freely. A friendly tone gets people talking more than they mean to. "I'm okay." "It's not that bad." "I probably could've been more careful too." Small, human things to say. Also exactly the kind of thing that gets used against a claim later.

We're not saying every adjuster is out to get you. We're saying friendly isn't the same as being on your side.

If it were us, or someone we loved on that call, here's what we'd say: keep it short. You don't have to explain yourself in the first five minutes. It's okay to say you'll follow up later.

Look out for each other out there and always know we're right here.

The same faces walk through our doors every week: the FedEx driver, the DoorDash runner, the lawn crew, the window cleaners, the mail carriers, and our vending machine restock crew.

We put a mic in front of them and asked what it's like walking through our doors. Turns out, it doesn't feel like a law office... it feels more like a place people are excited to walk into.

Even the vending machine crew had thoughts (turns out Sun Chips and Coke Zero are the office's real love language).

In 2013, it was two names and one mission: protect the people who need it most.

Thirteen years later, that mission hasn't changed. What has changed is everything around it. A building on 36th & Classen that gave that team room to keep growing. A partnership with the Thunder that put Oklahoma's trust in us on a bigger stage.

Through all of it, one thing stayed the same. We're still Oklahoma. Still here for you.

At the end of the day, this city is about people.

The people building businesses. Raising families. Showing up for their neighbors. Filling arenas. Supporting local restaurants. Creating a community that's worth being part of.

That's what we've always loved about Oklahoma City and Oklahoma.

We get to serve people here every day, and that's something we never take for granted.

The skyline is great. The growth is exciting. But the best part of this city has always been the people in it.

We're proud to call OKC home.

He was told he was at fault.

The insurance company denied everything. Never offered him a single penny.

He had a broken neck and nowhere to turn.

The jury awarded him nearly $8 million. But what Nate remembers most is what his client said after. That all he ever really wanted was his medical bills paid and a new truck.

Seeing the relief on his face when a jury of his peers finally believed him is something Nate says he'll never forget.

That's the whole reason we do this.

Most oilfield workers assume their employer is the only one responsible after an injury.

That's usually not the full picture.

An oil rig involves multiple companies in the day-to-day operation. If one of those other companies was negligent and caused your injury, you may have a claim against them directly, outside of the workers' comp system entirely.

That outside claim can make a significant difference in your outcome.

If you were hurt in the oilfield, talk to an attorney before you assume you know all your options.
