Summer in OKC means festivals, fairs, and a whole lot of fun.

But accidents can happen anywhere, and if they do, what you do in those first moments matters.

Document everything, preserve your evidence, and do not sign anything before talking to a lawyer.

The other side moves fast. So should you.

If you or someone you know gets hurt at an event this summer, call Parrish DeVaughn.

For Travis, choosing personal injury law came down to something simple: standing up for people who are already going through enough.

Too often, someone who’s been hurt ends up facing another challenge — navigating insurance companies and a complicated process while trying to recover. Being able to step in, advocate for them, and help make things right is what drew him to this work.

Because when someone’s been through a serious accident, they shouldn’t have to face the fight alone.

Some Fridays, OKC just shows up.

Food Truck Fridays at PD Law is one of those things that reminds you why this city is something special. It's not just about the food — it's about the conversations you didn't plan on having, the neighbors you haven't met yet, and the locals who make this city feel like home. Every single time.

There's something about a good meal and an open space that gets people talking. And in OKC, that's never hard to do.

We love being part of moments like this. This is our city, and these are our people — come out and connect with us.

We hope to see you soon!

After an accident, one of the first things an insurance company may ask for is a recorded statement.

It might sound routine, but these statements are often requested quickly — before someone fully understands their injuries or the details of what happened. Later on, that statement can be used to challenge parts of a claim.

Taking a moment to understand your options before agreeing to a recorded statement can make an important difference.

If you live in Oklahoma, you know how common pickup trucks are.

But something as simple as a trailer hitch can change how a crash looks — and how an insurance company evaluates it. Sometimes the hitch absorbs the impact, leaving little visible damage to the vehicle even though someone inside may still be seriously hurt.

That's why understanding the full picture matters. What you see in the photos of the property damage doesn't always tell the whole story.

Good work doesn't just happen in a courtroom. It happens long before that.

It starts with a team that listens, asks questions, and takes the time to understand what actually happened. It's the conversations, the research, the attention to small details that most people never see.

At PD Law, every case starts with one thing — putting people first.

A lot of people assume a slip and fall means they were just being clumsy.

But the real question is whether the space was safe in the first place. When a store or property invites people in, they also take on the responsibility of maintaining a safe environment. If something isn't safe, it should be fixed or clearly marked.

And if an injury happens, it's worth taking the time to understand what really caused it — not just brushing it off as an embarrassing moment.
