As of November 1, 2016 new measures went into effect that make it easier for people to expunge their criminal record. The new changes to Oklahoma EXPUNGEMENT LAW makes it easier to wipe your slate clean.
It will allow felony deferred sentences to be expunged after 5 years, instead of 10 years.
Allow misdemeanor suspended sentences to be expunged after 5 years, instead of 10 years
Allow misdemeanor tickets to be expunged immediately, instead of after 10 years
Allow for the expungement of two felony convictions;
Allow for the expungement of civil records relating to the underlying criminal arrest;
Make DNA from expunged records automatically inadmissible in later prosecutions;
Stop misdemeanor convictions from disqualifying deferred sentence expungements;

For example. If you were charged with a misdemeanor, and you received a deferred sentence (usually probation) and you successfully completed your sentence, you may now qualify after only ONE year. Next time you tell your child's father or mother to sign over his or her parental rights, REMEMBER !!!!In Oklahoma, Unless there is an adoption pending there is no private action(lawsuit) for termination of parental rights. Only the state can move to terminate through a deprived proceeding or a private party through a step-parent adoption or other adoption proceedings....

Seeing this more and more so here goes...FYI...Oklahoma law allows a person to use deadly force in SELF DEFENSE if that person has a reasonable belief such force is necessary to protect himself from imminent danger of death or great bodily harm.

AN OFFICER is at my HOUSE - what is his authority? An officer has the right to go into any home which he has a reasonable belief is the home of the subject of an arrest warrant, so long as he also has a reasonable belief the subject is currently inside the home. If you are the subject of an arrest warrant, you must surrender yourself immediately. If, however, you are not the subject of the officer's warrant, and he is asking PERMISSION to come into your home - you are NOT required to consent to his entry.

If the police suspect you of a crime, don’t expect them to help you. The police are in the business of putting the "bad" guys in jail or better yet whoever they suspect of being the "Bad" guy, whether you are innocent or not... So, show the police officer your lawyer's business card and say you don’t want to answer any questions until you talk with your attorney...ijs..I bet you even though we all know this, someone out there is still going to try to talk their way out...
