The Oklahoma City Police Department Traffic Safety Unit will be conducting a saturation patrol and DUI checkpoint within the city limits of Oklahoma City on Saturday, April 20th between 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

The goal of the operation is to reduce the number of impaired drivers and collisions on Oklahoma City roadways, making the roads as safe as possible for drivers as they transit the city. In 2021, nearly 100 people were killed in fatal collisions within Oklahoma City and greater than one third of those collisions were alcohol or drug related.

In the era of smartphone technology, there is no excuse for getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while impaired. Be smart, have a plan, and get home safe; use a ride-share app, call a friend, or designate a responsible driver who will not drink or consume impairing substances.

This operation is open to media outlets as identified by The Oklahoma City Police Department Public Information Office. Opportunities for interviews with members of The Oklahoma City Police Department will be available, upon request. Nine years ago we moved into our new law office that we had designed and built. We have come along way since being in a one room office down the street. If you look at the picture of the sign, you can see the old hotel black (orange-brown brick building) where we had a one room office before we ended up taking up the entire floor. The building is now gone and the BOK skyscraper is there.

Also, if you look past the sign, you will see the old union bus station sign. That building has also been torn down. Our sign was homage to that sign. 

We have been very fortunate to have great lawyers and great staff to make this firm successful.

URGENT 😭 Rocco has been in boarding for longer than we care to say 😭😭 He has stayed positive with a happy demeanor through it all , believing his people are out there somewhere. Rocco is a 2 year old brindle pittie who is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. He walks right by all of them at the vet his boarding at with no interest. He prefers to nap on the couch and snuggle with his person. No children under 13 due to his size and they make him nervous. 😭 He was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. 😵‍💫 If you need a professional cuddle bug Rocco is your man !!! ‼️698 DAYS! ‼️

That is how long our sweet Beauty has been with us. That is too long to not have a home and family of her own!

Beauty came to us after her elderly owner had to go into a nursing home and it was obvious, she missed her owner. Beauty is a 4 1/2 year old lab mix, with the most stunning eyes. We know it's harder to place dogs that prefer to be only dogs and that aren't great with kids (she gets very nervous and anxious) but Beauty is nothing but pure love. We know her home is out there and spending her days at our rescue center, is not what we want for her. Below is a little information about her.

Beauty loves tummy rubs and lots of walks, her ball and rope toys and squeaky toys that she can kill the squeak. She loves to go for rides in the car, and she’ll give her alpha lots of kisses. And she’s goofy. She has some moments where she just shows off her goofiness to make us laugh.

Beauty needs to be with a couple (or single woman, perhaps) who do not have, nor plan to have kids, as kids up her anxiety and she can lunge. Also, if they are prone to NOT go places and take her with them, again because Beauty gets very stressed and anxious in strange buildings and other situations. She’d probably be happiest as the only pet.

She does know “sit”, “down”, “heel” (on the left), “leave it”, “hold”/”stay” – just not on a consistent basis.

She walks very well on a leash – except when there are “squirrels”. She does like to chase them and birds!

It’s THANKFUL THURSDAY at WildCareOklahoma—and do we have a lot to be thankful for! This past Sunday, WildCareOklahoma held it’s annual Donor Open House. We had nearly 250 people attend this event designed to thank people that provide the resources to make WildCare Oklahoma’s work possible. We are thankful for the 28 volunteers that spent most of their Sunday staffing the event and for the four people that donated their professional services:
• Preston Hawkins, Judgement Pictures, who video recorded WildCare Oklahoma supporters sharing their animal experience stories to help us create a compelling video record highlighting the reasons people help wildlife and how they benefit from these compassionate interventions.
