OKLAHOMA CITY... THE OLYMPICS ARE REALLY COMING HERE.

City Council just approved $1.2 million in upgrades to RIVERSPORT, ahead of two major events: the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, and the 2028 Olympics.

Read that again. Oklahoma City is the only host city outside Los Angeles for the 2028 Games. Canoe slalom kicks off right here on the Oklahoma River, July 14, 2028.. the very first event of the entire Olympics.

This city keeps showing up on a bigger stage than people expect. Watching it grow has been one of my favorite parts of doing this job.

Four new landmarks just went up across OKC, and most people haven't noticed yet.

2 weeks ago, Oklahoma City started installing four new Route 66 Centennial Monuments across the city.. tall, purpose-built signs marking the road's history right here in OKC.

Route 66 isn't just a postcard image. It's part of how this city actually grew. These monuments are a quiet reminder of that!

Keep an eye out, you might drive past one without realizing what it is.

One of the biggest bets in Oklahoma City real estate is paying off, right here..

Everything in this shot ➡️ Top Golf, the apartments filling in behind it, the night life, the growth stretching toward the horizon sits on land the developer started quietly assembling almost 20 years before any of it broke ground.

No fanfare, no big announcement. Just a long bet on north Oklahoma City, made well before anyone else saw it coming.

Today, Chisholm Creek is one of the busiest entertainment and retail corridors in the metro.. and it's still growing.

Oklahoma City is getting its own submarine memorial. Yes!! really.

There's a $4.75 million memorial in the works at Wiley Post Park honoring the USS Oklahoma City, a real Navy submarine that carried this city's name. It's set to open this year, and almost nobody outside city planning circles knows it's coming.

Think about that for a second: a piece of naval history, permanently anchored into a city park most of us drive past without a second thought.

This is the kind of thing that makes me love paying attention to this city. The story is already here.. most people just haven't heard it yet.

OKLAHOMA CITY… THE BEAVER IS COMING. 🦫

Buc-ee’s is moving forward with plans for its first Oklahoma location, proposed near I-40 & Cimarron Road in west Oklahoma City. The project is tied to a major interchange improvement, and city documents show the development is continuing to move through the approval process.

No opening date has been announced yet, but this is another pretty significant piece of the continued growth happening along OKC’s west side.

And let’s be honest… Beaver Nuggets, brisket and a Buc-ee’s sign in Oklahoma? About time. 😂
