Warning: this is hard to watch. Sadly, it doesn’t show all of the physical attacks Randy endured.

The Weatherford Police Department is facing a civil rights lawsuit over a 2024 traffic stop that left a man beaten and bloodied.

Hi all, I wanted to hop on here and let everyone know that the video released of my client, Randy Montanez occurred in Weatherford, Oklahoma, NOT Texas. I've received a call from the kind folks at the Weatherford Police Department in Texas saying they are receiving feedback from the video. Please give our friends in Texas a break, they've got enough to deal with being in Texas.

Good news, Coweta!

🇺🇸 STARTING A SENATE CAMPAIGN WITH A LAWSUIT 🇺🇸

Most campaigns start with speeches.
We’re starting with action.

Today, I filed a lawsuit against the City of Coweta for signing NDAs and hiding data center deals from the very citizens they’re supposed to serve.

👉 That’s not transparency.
👉 That’s not accountability.
👉 That ends now.

If I’m going to run for the United States Senate, I’m going to do it the same way I plan to serve:

Out in the open. Fighting for the people. And holding government accountable.

Transparency isn’t just a talking point for me —
👉 It’s a core principle.

And today proved it.

If you believe government should answer to the people — come see it in action.

This campaign isn’t about empty promises.
It’s about real fights and real results.

Today, my friend Sean Buckner officially announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Markwayne Mullin, who was nominated by President Trump to serve as the next Secretary of Homeland Security.

Working with Sean has been incredibly rewarding. He fights for everyday citizens—the ones who can’t afford high-priced attorneys or don’t have the resources to stand up for themselves. He puts crime victims first, often accompanying them to file police reports, attend hearings, or whatever support they need in the moment. During the time I’ve known him, I’ve personally watched him help so many people using his own hard-earned funds, never asking for anything in return except accountability from those who have done wrong.

Right after Sean finished his announcement, I filed an application for an emergency injunction against Sand Springs to stop their back-handed dealings that keep citizens in the dark and prevent real participation in local government.

Then we headed to Wagoner County and filed suit against the City of Coweta for Open Meetings Act violations—the same kind of shady practices Sean and Ron exposed in Sand Springs.

Today was all about one simple message: Government works for the citizens, not the other way around. Oklahomans deserve full transparency and open access to the decisions that affect our lives—decisions too many officials have tried to hide from the very people they’re supposed to serve.

If you want someone in Washington, D.C. who isn’t bought and paid for by lobbyists, who will bring a no-nonsense, common-sense approach focused on what’s best for Oklahoma, then Sean Buckner is your guy.

I’m proud to know him, proud to get to work with him, and truly so excited for this next chapter.

Follow along as we keep delivering this message loud and clear to city, county, and state government bodies: Oklahomans are tired of deals made in the dark behind closed doors. We’re standing up for everyday people and fighting to protect citizens.

Sean just launched a campaign page, please go show him some love Sean Buckner for U.S. Senate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 6, 2026 – Kimberly Rennie and Jeramy Jarman, attorneys from the law firm of WhitbeckBeglis, today issued the following statement on behalf of their clients, Town of Jones City Police Chief Bryan Farrington and Town Administrator Melissa Wilkinson:

Our clients, Chief Bryan Farrington and Town Administrator Melissa Wilkinson, categorically deny any wrongdoing in connection with recent allegations. They are dedicated public servants who have served the Town of Jones City with integrity and commitment.

We share the concerns voiced by Trustee Scott Meyer during the Jones Board of Trustees Meeting on March 3, 2026, where it became evident that confidential information, not subject to disclosure or dissemination under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, has been improperly provided to various members of the community and potentially some media outlets. Such breaches undermine public trust and the proper functioning of government.

During these tumultuous times, we urge the community to remain respectful and refrain from unfounded speculation. Our clients look forward to not only clearing their names through the appropriate legal channels but also to sharing their full story and addressing systemic issues within the current municipal government, including apparent violations of the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act.

We respect the laws of the State of Oklahoma and are committed to a swift resolution of this matter. It is essential that the community is served by qualified and competent individuals in municipal leadership roles, and we believe transparency and accountability will prevail.

Chief Farrington and Administrator Wilkinson appreciate the support that has been shown by the community.

Yesterday I received the ruling I’d been working tirelessly to achieve. We stood strong even when one of the parties from the other side assaulted the son of one of the parties on my side of the case. It was the first time in my career that the court had to take a recess so the party could go get booked into jail and have enough time to bond out and reappear to finish the hearing.

The Constitution and the rights It gives every American was observed. I’m grateful that the court protected the rights of our citizens.

Melissa Handke was on a roll yesterday. Carter County District Attorney shows where her priorities lie with protecting children in the classroom.

Kids have a right to an education and to be safe when they are in a school funded by tax dollars. People of Ardmore, please tell your kids to come to you or an adult they trust if they are mistreated by a teacher. It’s clear that the school and the state of Oklahoma is not going to protect them. But we will fight to ensure that children are afforded the opportunity of an education free from violence.

ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Felony charges against two former Ardmore City Schools teachers have been dropped.

10/30/2025

It’s going to take a while to process what happened in court today.

Melissa Handke, District Attorney, showed up to court with a dismissal of Carter County felony case CF-2024-146 in the State of Oklahoma v. Susan Hartman. Handke stated that teachers cannot be charged with child abuse and noted her intent to file a misdemeanor charge.

This is not justice. DA Handke would not even look in the direction of my clients much less speak to them. We had no prior notice that the case was being dismissed nor that she did not intend on letting my clients speak or share victim impact statements.

Tomorrow is a new day and the fight will continue. But today, I’m sad for the innocent little guy who was harmed at the hands of someone who was trusted to lead, guide and positively influence our future generation.

Parents Raise Concerns Over Reduced Charge in Ardmore Teacher Child Abuse Case
________________________________________
Ardmore, OK — October 29, 2025. Parents of a child involved in the case of State of Oklahoma v. Susan Hartman (Carter County Case No. CF-2024-146) are raising serious concerns after learning that the Carter County District Attorney’s Office intends to reduce a felony child abuse charge to a misdemeanor.

Susan Hartman, then a teacher at Charles Evans Elementary School, was arrested in 2024 after subjecting a special needs student to prolonged and inappropriate physical discipline captured on video on or about March 27, 2024.

The District Attorney’s Office notified the family on October 29, 2025, that the plea agreement reducing the charge would be presented to the Court the following day—less than 24 hours’ notice.

The Oklahoma Victims Rights Act (21 O.S. § 142A-2) grants victims and their families the right to be notified of and heard in all proceedings involving pleas, sentencing, or disposition. Victims also have the right to be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, and to provide input on plea negotiations.

Additionally, 22 O.S. § 234 limits prosecutors’ discretion to reduce charges in certain serious cases, including child abuse under 21 O.S. § 843.5.

“This family deserved transparency and the chance to be heard before such a significant decision was made,” said Kimberly Rennie, Counsel for the victim’s family. “Reducing a felony child abuse charge to a misdemeanor undermines accountability and sends the wrong message to victims and offenders across Oklahoma.”

The next hearing in State v. Hartman is scheduled for October 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Carson Brooks in Courtroom 201 at the Carter County District Courthouse. The victim’s family and their advocates plan to attend and respectfully urge the Court to reject the proposed plea deal.

Community members are encouraged to respectfully voice their concerns to the Carter County District Attorney’s Office. Advocates stress that this issue is not only about one case, but about ensuring that victims’ rights remain at the forefront of Oklahoma’s criminal justice process.
“We believe in due process and in the strength of our justice system,” Rennie added. “But justice also requires that victims’ voices are heard and respected.”
