Make sure all life insurance policies list a beneficiary and a contingency beneficiary, and keep your beneficiaries updated. You do not want your life insurance to default to your estate. You will then need a probate, and creditors will be able to attach to those monies.

In Oklahoma, a Last Will and Testament will not transfer assets and property to you or your loved ones automatically upon death. You will need a probate, which is a long and expensive court proceeding ($5k-$10k). You do NOT want to go through probate.
