There are actually a lot of rules that govern court reporters...everything from retention of notes, margins, fonts, who you can sell transcripts to, what your responsibility is as an officer of the court, and the list goes on. The FPR certification through FCRA is a seminar and test ONLINE! Since we have no certification in this state, it's the only way to keep up with what you, as a court reporter, should know. You don't have to take it in one sitting...you can stretch it through the month of July!

FCRA Annual Conference 2026! In a Zoom world, it's enlightening just to hear what is going on with other court reporters! Truly! If you're a real court reporter, FCRA is the only association who is actively working for you in Tallahassee, actively recruiting and supporting reporting students, offering certification on Florida rules and offering live skill testing for starters. If you miss the camaraderie of the reporter world and bouncing around what's new, what's going on outside each of our little cubbyholes...FCRA is the only game in town! If you missed conference, join and support the volunteers that stay on task year round on your behalf or join and get involved in your passion committee!
