When I graduated I decided to come to the United Estates, which I think was around 1998. When I got here, it was difficult for me because I didn’t know English at all, nevertheless, I was determined. At first, I was living with my friend who helped me get a job as a dishwasher, this was the first job, then I was a cook, a busboy, a food runner, a bar back, a waitress, a bartender, all these jobs h
elped me know the true definition of hard work. With those experiences under my belt, I decided to return to school to learn English as a second language for a couple of years. After that I did sales for a few years, then I went to school to get my license to be a chauffeur. All this time I always had the hunger to flip and sell houses, which I tried to do with a house I bought for my family, but I realized I needed to learn a lot more. Now age 55, I went back to school to get my barber’s license and get my real estate license. I realized it is never too late to do something you love and am now grateful for joining the best team in real estate. Edgar Yuquilima
