Today we had the incredible opportunity to take some of our Teen Court volunteers to the WV House of Delegates — and what a day it was!

A huge thank you to Delegates Pritt, Clay, and Brooks for welcoming our students and hosting them during their visit. They were given the chance to see firsthand how our state government works in action.

The experience didn’t stop there — the group was also graciously hosted by Justice Ewing at the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. Students received an insider look at the courtroom, learned about the judicial process, and even got to sit in the Justices’ seats — an unforgettable moment and a powerful way to bring civics to life.

We are so proud of these volunteers and grateful for the time and care shown by our state leaders today. It was a fantastic day full of learning, inspiration, and meaningful experiences that will stay with our students for years! 💚

Our Teen Court participants put their debate skills to the test tonight in a festive Sidesgiving Showdown—and the arguments were delicious! After some spirited deliberation, Sweet Potato Casserole was officially crowned the #1 Thanksgiving Side Dish. 👑🍠

Great job to all our debaters… and better luck next year, green bean casserole. 😆

Last night, members of Fayette County Teen Court had the honor of presenting to the Fayette County Board of Education. 🌟

Our students shared about the benefits of Teen Court as an alternative sentencing program, its functions and resources, and some of the challenges they are seeing among their peers in our schools. They also discussed meaningful ways that Teen Court can partner with the Board of Education to serve as a valuable resource for our school communities.

We are proud of these students for their leadership and for using their voices to make a difference! 💚

Teen Court is back in session next week, and we’re inviting all students in 7th–12th grade to join us! ⚖️👩‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️

🕔 Time: 4:15pm for food, 5pm for hearing

What an great night! We hosted our annual Teen Court training event 🙌✨ Our youth volunteers now have the knowledge and skills to make a real impact in our community. A huge thank you to Ashley Brash and Tara Harman for leading sessions! And thank you to our other adult volunteers who helped greet kids, serve dinner, participate in sessions and clean up! 🌟

We took 6 youth volunteers to lunch at Pies and Pints Pizzeria and then escaped the Secret Bunker at Escape-A-Torium Escape Adventures! We love our youth volunteers, we couldn’t do it without them! ❤️
