3 main questions you should ask your agent before hiring: Seller Edition
1)Will you represent me exclusively or both the buyer and seller in the transaction?
-Varies state to state. In Michigan realtors can represent both buyers and sellers which is called “dual agent”.
This helps you understand service levels and responsibilities owed to you as the seller.

2)How do you plan to market my home?
-Marketing almost always includes a listing in the multiple listing service, but there may be other needs for your home to be presented. Ask the agent to show you examples of their marketing materials and ads that they’ve done for other homes. Ask how the agent plans to market via internet, mobile devices, emails etc.

3)What is your level of experience?
-There’s no substitute for experience, except enthusiasm. A new agent will have close supervision by the managing broker, you’re likely to get the same level of service as an experienced agent.
