Norwich Business Improvement District Downtown Norwich's center of community and commerce.

The Norwich Business Improvement District , a 501c3, was established in 1986 pursuant to Article 2-B of the General City Law. The BID essentially functions as a private sector organization, which enhances the safety, cleanliness, image and competitiveness of the downtown district.

💐 This year’s Bring the Bloom to Broad campaign was an enormous success, and we have our community to thank for that! The campaign officially closed on May 16th, and the BID and Garden Club met our funding goal.

A total of 54 donors contributed to the 68 total hanging baskets on Broad Street and American Avenue. Donors included organizations, businesses, and individuals passionate about Downtown beautification, and we are so grateful.

Thanks again to the below entities who contributed funding on behalf of their organization or business, and to the countless others who sponsored a basket on behalf of a loved one.

There are TWO weeks left to help sponsor downtown beautification! This year’s Bring the Bloom to Broad initiative invites businesses, organizations, and community members to support the BID and Norwich Garden Club, NY in freshening up the 68 Broad Street and American Avenue hanging planter baskets.

🧹 Our annual spring clean-up is just over two weeks away! This year, join the BID, district organizations and businesses, and your community in helping to get Downtown ready for the rush of warm weather events and visitors. Volunteers will meet us at the East Park gazebo, and be given tools and directions for the following tasks:

▪️tidying up the tree grates along Broad Street
▪️sprucing up Gordon Park
▪️picking up trash and clearing the sidewalks
▪️washing storefront windows

When the work is done, volunteers will be treated to lunch courtesy of the Norwich Rotary Club, and entered to win a raffle prize!
