I’ve been keeping something very special under wraps...and I’m almost ready to share it. 🤍

After more than 30 years of helping people navigate divorce, I’ve poured so much of what I’ve learned-and what I believe about finding a better, more holistic way forward-into something I’ve dreamed about for a long time.

The big reveal is coming soon. Any guesses? 👀

One of the best ways to prepare for mediation isn’t collecting more documents-it’s taking time to reflect.

Ask yourself:
• What do I hope my life looks like after this process?
• What do I want to preserve?
• What matters most to my family?

When you begin with those questions, it’s much easier to make thoughtful decisions that support the future you’re trying to build.

🇮🇹🍝Time with my family in Italy has me thinking about something I’ve come to understand deeply over more than 30 years of practicing family law: our relationships are among the most important things we have.

That realization is one of the reasons I became so committed to mediation. A marriage may end, but that doesn’t mean everything that was good about the relationship has to be lost with it-especially when two people will continue to be connected as parents, grandparents or through extended family and shared memories.

Divorce doesn’t have to erase what came before. When possible, we can honor what was good, let go of what wasn’t and create a healthier relationship for whatever comes next.

That’s what holistic divorce means to me. 🤍

One of the nicest compliments I’ve ever received from a client was this:

“She was kind but firm.”

That’s exactly the balance I strive for.

Compassion doesn’t mean avoiding difficult conversations.

Strength doesn’t require unnecessary conflict.

The best outcomes often come from approaching challenging situations with both empathy and clarity.

Children should never feel caught in the middle of a divorce.

In this clip from the Divorced Girl Smiling podcast, I share why parents should keep their children at the center of every decision-and avoid disparaging one another.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is the freedom to love both parents.

Helping clients through life’s biggest transitions has always been at the heart of my practice.

While many people know me for my work in family law and holistic divorce, I’m also honored to guide families through probate, estate administration, conservatorships and estate planning with the same compassion and personalized care.

I’m so grateful to Andrea for her kind words and for trusting me during such a difficult time after the loss of her mother. Thank you, Andrea, for your recommendation. It means more than you know. 🤍

People often ask what “holistic divorce” really means.

For me, it means recognizing that every legal decision affects real people, real families and real futures.

Of course, I protect my clients’ legal interests.
But I also care deeply about how they experience the process–and whether the decisions they make today will continue serving them years from now.

It’s easy to feel like divorce defines everything.
But it doesn’t.

I’ve had the privilege of watching clients move from uncertainty to confidence, from fear to possibility and from simply surviving to truly thriving.

Sometimes the hardest chapter becomes the one that teaches us the most.

Your story is still being written.

One conversation. One email. One unexpected event.

It doesn’t take much for emotions to escalate during a divorce. But before reacting, give yourself permission to pause.

The decisions you make now can affect your finances, your family and your future for years to come. Taking a step back allows you to respond with clarity instead of emotion.

In this video, I share why staying calm isn’t about ignoring your feelings-it’s about making your best decisions.

Divorce can bring out some of our strongest emotions-and that’s completely understandable.

But some of the most important decisions you’ll make during this process deserve time, perspective and careful thought. When we react in the heat of the moment, we often make choices based on emotion rather than what will best serve us in the long run.

Whenever possible, give yourself the space to pause, reflect and respond with intention.

Your future deserves decisions made with clarity, not just emotion.
