It's Back-to-School Time! Ahh, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils, new sneaker rubber, and packed lunches... Although, these days, it's more like the low buzz of laptops and smart phones melding with the hum of various jams emanating from headphones...

Yesterday was our founding attorney Jeff Althaus's first day back to school at CU Boulder! There, he's known as Professor Althaus and teacher extraordinaire of Wills & Trusts law at The University of Colorado School of Law.

Cheers to all of the scholars headed back to school this season.

Our firm is closed on Juneteenth. The celebration of Juneteenth as a holiday began in Galveston, Texas in the 1860s. Now, many Americans honor this day throughout the country. It is a day of celebration and hope, as well as a day to pay honor and respect to the many people who suffered greatly under slavery. This day became a United States federal holiday on June 17, 2021, when President Joseph Biden signed it into law. This was the first new federal holiday declared since MLK, Jr. Day was officially designated in 1983.

One week until our Althaus Paws event!

To round off the weekend we're featuring our welcoming whoodle, Wesley! His hobbies include smiling, barking at animals on the TV, and pulling mom to the ground over a single leaf. His favorite part about being an office dog is saying hi to all his coworkers in the morning and picking out a toy to bring them.
