September is here!! Several important immigration changes are coming with it.

Some are already in effect. Others have September deadlines that applicants, sponsors, and international students need to have on their radar.

▪️ Aug. 31 — New Form I-864 required, with no grace period
▪️ Sept. 15 — Changes affecting F-1/J-1 Duration of Status
▪️ Sept. 18 — New public-charge rule takes effect
▪️ Sept. 18 — New Form I-485 required

Immigration policy is moving quickly, and dates matter. Form editions matter. And the details of each policy matter.

📌 SAVE this post so you can come back to these dates.
↗️ SHARE it with someone who has an immigration case pending, is sponsoring a family member, or is an international student.

The 75-country immigrant visa issuance suspension has been VACATED. ⚖️ So what does that actually mean for your case?

In this video, Attorney A-Frimpong breaks down what the court’s order could mean depending on where you are in the process: from those still waiting for an interview to those who were already refused under the policy.

Important: This policy applied to individuals seeking immigrant visas at U.S. consulates and embassies outside the United States. It does not apply to Adjustment of Status applications filed from inside the U.S.

Good news, but implementation may take some time. And there is still more to come.

Save this video, share it with someone who was affected, and stay tuned for updates. ⚖️

The new F-1 rule hasn’t even taken effect yet and it’s already facing a lawsuit. 👩🏽‍⚖️

Here’s what F-1 students need to know about the legal challenge and what it could mean for the September 15th changes.

Important reminder: As of right now, the rule is still scheduled to take effect on September 15, 2026. The filing of a lawsuit does not, by itself, stop the rule from taking effect.

Watch. Share. Stay informed. 🇺🇸⚖️

An approved Advance Parole document does not necessarily mean it is legally safe for you to travel. ✈️⚠️

A new Board of Immigration Appeals ruling has changed the landscape for certain immigrants with prior unlawful presence and the consequences of leaving the U.S. could be significant.

Watch the full video as Attorney A-Frimpong breaks down what changed, who may be affected, and why reviewing your immigration history before you travel matters.

And please SHARE this video. Many people may have Advance Parole and still not understand how this new ruling could affect them.

When it comes to immigration, an approved document is only part of the story. Know your history before you travel. 🇺🇸

📲 USCIS is moving closer to mandatory online filing.

USCIS has issued a new interim rule giving the agency authority to require certain immigration applications and petitions to be filed electronically instead of by paper.

But an important clarification: USCIS has NOT yet announced that all immigration forms must be filed online. The rule creates the framework for mandatory electronic filing in the future.

Watch for important guidance on the matter.

Forms currently available for electronic filing in at least some categories include work authorization, adjustment of status, and citizenship, although eligibility and filing methods vary depending on the form and case type.

Why does this matter?

USCIS is continuing its shift toward a more digital immigration system. That could mean less paper and faster filing, but also new procedures and potential filing pitfalls.

For now, paper filing isn’t going away entirely. We’ll continue monitoring which forms become subject to mandatory electronic filing and when.

Immigration is changing quickly. Make sure your information changes with it.
