Proud to represent TCF in this massive undertaking since their 2020 initial acquisition of the land that was being auctioned off, through over 10 different conveyances to multiple local land trust partners across the region as well as some parcels to expand the White Mountain National Forest, including a couple of sales that leveraged additional acres into the project, and capping it off with the complex USDA Forest Legacy easement to be held by Maine BPL. These all were supported by so many private foundations and the Land for Maine's Future fund (thank you, voters!) and now a massive section of the Oxford County landscape is preserved as working forest, wildlife habitat and outdoor recreation! Time to take a hike!

Attorney Sarah McDaniel spent this weekend gravel bikepacking 40 miles through AMC's Maine Woods Initiative lands in Piscataquis County. It was the final leg of a relay from Virginia to Maine to celebrate AMC's 150th birthday. McDaniel has done the title work, transactional work, and associated legal matters for AMC's Maine land acquisitions since 2008. So much fun to get out on the properties she has played a role in protecting!

What a tragic loss for Maine's legal community. Several DMC partners worked with Staci early in our careers. Our hearts go out to her family and close friends.
