Here is the latest update on Bryan Range vs Pam Bondi and the United States. Yesterday was the final day when the government could have sought Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. The deadline passed and the government chose not to file. Thus the the judgment of the Court of Appeals stands and Bryan may now possess fi****ms.

For those if you have not read in the conventional news, our team won the case of Range versus United States. I’ve been home recuperating, so I’m late posting this. After a remand from the United States Supreme Court, and after oral argument, the United States Court of Appeals, for the Third Circuit found in favor of Mr. Range. They have ordered the case remanded to the district court to issue an appropriate order prohibiting the enforcement of section 922 G1 against Mr. Range. I want to thank our entire team for the great work they did on this case. It’s not over yet as the government has 90 days within which to file a Petition for Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. Stay tuned.

The US Supreme Court issued the Rahimi decision while the Petition for Certiorari was pending in Range. As a result the USSC remanded Range back to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit for briefing and reargument after Rahimi. Briefs have been filed and we have oral argument before the Court of Appeals en banc on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 10:30 if you are interested in tuning in.

We lost an excellent jurist with passing of Judge Pratter. See below.

Good morning,
I am sure by now many of you have heard that Eastern District Court Judge Gene Pratter has passed away. She was a pleasure to practice in front of. I know many of us have our own stories of cases we had in front of her, but I remember at a sentencing I had before her, she was so impressed by a presentation by my client that she wanted to give him three months less than the C-plea negotiations. The new AUSA on the case didn't know what to do. He called back to his supervisors who told him that it was fine, and she sentenced him to three months less than the C-plea negotiations.
She was highly intelligent, fair, and I found, had a great sense of humor. She also broke down many barriers for all women lawyers who followed. She will be greatly missed.

Services: Visitation with the family is to be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at St. John Vianni Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne, Pa. 19035. A Funeral Mass is to follow at 11 a.m.

I am pleased to announce that we had a hearing before William Stoycos, ALJ in the matter of EM vs PSP which is an appeal from a PICS denial. While is took two years we won the appeal and the client is now allowed to again own fi****ms.

On August 2, 2021 we represented P.P. before an Administrative Law Judge. Our client had been convicted of a disabling offense in MD for which he received a pardon. He desired to own a firearm and challenged the State Police denial. On March 8, 2023 the ALJ upheld our challenge. We do not know if PSP will file a Petition seeking review with the Commonwwealth Court. They have 30 days to do so.
