Today, PIABA President Michael Bixby and Executive Director Jennifer Shaw, along with PIABA's Joe Wojciechowski, Courtney Werning and Jon Furgison, met with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to discuss our shared interest in protecting investors from fraudsters, specifically our concerns regarding the rise of cryptocurrency investment scams.

PIABA has officially released its letter to the U.S. Senate regarding the CLARITY Act⚠️

Without:
1️⃣ Mandatory antifraud policies with dedicated compliance staff.
2️⃣ Preservation of private rights of action and state anti-fraud enforcement.
3️⃣ Strong, durable consumer protections.

Senators should reject any cryptocurrency market structure legislation that does not meet these standards.
