Thank you, Hamilton County. To all who supported me, guided me, and gave me grace along this journey, I’m forever grateful and will do my best to pay it forward in the future. A special thank you to Sam and Kim Hughes, Jim Crum, and Liam Putz, who were there from the beginning, and to Evan Elliott, who took us to the next level.
We built something special in the last year. We brought together an amazing team with people from all across the county. We showed that running a campaign while balancing a demanding career and growing family is not only possible - it’s fulfilling and necessary to continue building the bench of up and coming leaders in our county. To anyone considering running for office or applying for an appointed position in public service, know that your moment is now. Take the leap. You won’t regret it.
Congratulations to Paul Sweeney, my friend and soon to be colleague. He is a good man and worthy of the honor of serving as the first judge of Hamilton Superior 9. I am proud to support him as we work toward the general election and hope you will too. Thank you to Paul and to Chris Barrows for maintaining civility above all in a competitive contested primary.
Congratulations as well to Dustin Dixon, my
friend and our next Sheriff. He set a new standard for public service and for countywide campaigns. I knew before that my dream was to run for judge. I know now that my dream is to run for judge with that level of support, organization, and integrity.
Here’s to the next chapter.
