Most people hire a personal injury lawyer who only knows one side of the battlefield.

On this episode of the Files Law Hour on WWDB 860 AM, Virginia King, founder of Viking Law, breaks down how her 18 years as a defense attorney gave her the exact playbook insurance companies use—and how she uses that insider knowledge to fight for injured people today.

Virginia also dives into what it really takes to run an independent firm, how emerging tech like AI is shifting modern legal practice, and why personalized, human care matters most when you are recovering from a crash or a fall.

The $50,000 secret the insurance companies don’t want you to know. 🤫🛡️

I used to represent the big insurance carriers. I’ve seen firsthand how they use “Limited Tort” to slash settlements and keep money in their pockets.
They sell it as a “discount,” but as a lawyer, I call it a waiver of your rights.

✅ Full Tort: You keep your right to sue for pain and suffering.
❌ Limited Tort: You’re restricted unless your injury is “catastrophic.”

Don’t wait until you’re sitting in my office to find out you’re under-protected. Check your declarations page NOW. If it says Limited, change it. ⚔️😅

While the law technically started in 2025, we’ve been in a one-year “educational period.” That officially ends on June 5, 2026. Police are done giving warnings and are moving straight to tickets.

The rule is simple: if the car is in drive, the phone is out of your hands. No “just checking a text” at red lights and no holding it on speaker. If a cop sees it in your hand, they can pull you over for that alone.

Keep it mounted, sync your Bluetooth, and don’t get hit with a $50 fine plus court costs. Let’s look out for each other and keep the roads safe.

Pass this along! 🔔🚗

Here are safe and effective ways to use ChatGPT for legal help:

✅ Explaining Legal Concepts: Ask for simple, plain-English explanations of legal terms (e.g., “Explain what ‘piercing the corporate veil’ means” or “What is the difference between a Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy?”).

✅ Outlining Procedures: Request general, step-by-step guides for legal procedures (e.g., “What are the general steps to file a small claims suit in Pennsylvania?”).

🚨 1) NEVER Share Confidential Information: Do not input names, addresses, specific case numbers, or financial details. Assume any data entered becomes public.

🚨 2) ALWAYS Verify Outputs: ChatGPT can “hallucinate” (fabricate) case citations, statutes, and legal precedents.

🚨 3) NOT a Legal Advisor: ChatGPT cannot replace a qualified attorney, understand local jurisdictional nuances, or provide actionable legal advice.
