I was born and raised on a farm south of Newton and as a young man, I had the honor of being elected the National President of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) from a membership of over 500,000. I graduated Iowa State University and received my Ag Business degree. I think growing up on our family farm sparked the entrepreneurial spirit in me. It taught me the importance of responsibility, a goo

d work ethic and common sense. Those characteristics helped me become the accomplished businessman I am today. I've bought, developed & managed, and successfully sold 3 different businesses in Ames, Des Moines and Chicago. Since moving back to Newton, I’ve bought and remodeled 2 homes and recently sold a flip-house on Newton's SW side. In my off-time I enjoy barbecuing & working around the yard, and dream of someday traveling to see the ancient wonders in Rome and the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
