We had so much fun today planting King Alfred and Mount Hood daffodils along the stone wall at the reservoir for our Quononoquott Garden Club Daffodil Project/ Phase I, with the amazing team from our Jamestown department of Public Works/DPW! 🌼 As president of the club, I’m proud to see this idea come to life. It was a beautiful day, and we made great progress as we began planting 2500 bulbs. How beautiful they will look in the spring for everyone to enjoy! Several of our Club members also hosted our annual “thank-you” luncheon for DPW to express our deep gratitude for their hard work in the Jamestown community. We will wrap up phase 1 of our project tomorrow with more members joining us. Phase 2 will be next October finishing the length of the stone wall. We had the most extraordinary weekend at the Newport Preservation Society’s Wine and Food Festival, held at the stunning Rosecliff Mansion. The festivities began with a spectacular Vintner Dinner, followed by a lavish Sunday brunch. We then indulged in an exquisite wine tasting that perfectly captured the essence of the event. The weekend culminated in an unforgettable presentation by the iconic Claudine and Jacques Pépin, whose insights were as delightful as the culinary experience itself.
