Attorney Aaron Levinson was set for a jury trial this morning. The client walked into court facing a second degree felony with mandatory prison time. She walked out after a plea to misdemeanor charges! Today was a good day!

Even small victories can make a big difference in the lives of clients. Today attorney Aaron Levinson helped a client get a driving suspension reduced from 3 years to 18 months. We’re grateful the judge was able to see all the positive changes the client had made in his life and reduced the suspension!

Attorney Aaron Levinson was able to help a client get a fantastic result this morning! Client was facing drug charges that came with presumptive prison time. We decided to present a mitigation defense and the client entered a guilty plea. Today, the judge found that we overcame the presumption of prison and sentenced the client to a term of community control! We were able to show that the client had turned his life since this offense by providing the court with a written sentencing memorandum that included letters of support (including from his current treatment provider), negative drug tests, and proof of consistent gainful employment. The client is incredibly relieved and thrilled with this second chance!

NOT GUILTY! Client was charged with assaulting her estranged cousin with a glass storm door at a family member’s house. There was no corroborating evidence other than witness statements of the feuding family members. Police initially declined to issue charges, but after the alleged victim complained enough, my client was charged a month later. Today, we had a bench trial and the client was acquitted! This case never should have been brought but justice was served in the end!

After a three day trial for Felonious Assault, the jury rendered a verdict of NOT GUILTY!!!

We were able to get a client a fantastic result in Boone County yesterday! Client was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and two misdemeanor charges. His previous attorney had encouraging him to plead guilty as charged. Attorney Aaron Levinson was retained and spotted some weaknesses with the charge that the previous attorney missed. After we presented the Commonwealth with evidence that the felony charge was much weaker than they initially thought, they agreed to dismiss that count. The case resolved with the client only pleading guilty to two misdemeanors.

One of the services that we provide to clients is a "shield service", representing those who are suspected or accused of wrongdoing but have not yet been charged. This time before formal charges are initiated is a key period to for the defense to investigate, provide mitigating or exculpatory information, or just make sure a client doesn't make their situation worse.

Attorney Aaron Levinson represented a client who submitted a delayed claim for cosmetic damage to his vehicle and was accused by his auto insurance company of committing fraud by reporting damage that occurred prior to the issuance of the policy. We investigated and were able to provide documentation to the insurance company that supported our assertion that this was not the case.

Today, attorney Aaron Levinson received confirmation that this claim is no longer being considered fraud and will NOT be referred for criminal prosecution! Because of our proactive approach, this client will not have to face the public embarrassment and threats to his liberty that criminal charges would bring!
