On paper, “simple” tools like joint accounts and beneficiary designations look easy. In real life—especially for blended families—they can cause problems you didn’t see coming.

We often see issues when:
-One child is on an account and another is unintentionally left out.
-Old beneficiary forms still name an ex‑spouse.
-Stepchildren assume they’ll inherit “like the others,” but the law says otherwise.

A well‑thought‑out Will and Trust‑centered plan usually does a better job of matching what you actually want to happen.
