One of the most common questions we hear is:

"Do I have a claim against Southern California Edison?"

The answer isn't always as straightforward as people think.

Every survivor's situation is different, and your ability to pursue a claim depends on your individual circumstances—not simply whether your home was completely destroyed.

Attorney Brian Sutter explains who may have a claim, answers some of the most common questions we receive, and discusses why it's important to have your case reviewed by an experienced wildfire legal team.

If you were impacted by the Eaton Fire, don't make assumptions about your rights. Start with a conversation.

SCE says its compensation program has reached $1 billion in offers.

But as BGA Founding Partner Richard Bridgford told the Los Angeles Daily News, the numbers tell a very different story.

With estimated Eaton Fire damages of $10–$15 billion, only $1 billion has been offered—and many survivors who have accepted offers are doing so out of financial desperation.

“Their plan has been an abject failure. They haven’t even settled 5% of the problem.” — Richard Bridgford

For survivors considering an SCE offer, understand what you're accepting before you give up your right to pursue litigation.
