NOT GUILTY. It was an honor when a prosecutor I used to battle asked for my help in his trial. The honor turned into anger when I saw what the lead Prosecutor, Agents, and would-be accusers did to target this outstanding JAG Officer. Hidden evidence, comparisons to Al Capone, and official text messages laughing about the damage the investigation was doing to his family- complete with emojis!- were useful. The NCIS Agent admitting to lying in a Motions Hearing, then lying about admitting to lying, also helped. The smug impunity quickly turned into accountability once I was finally able to start cross-examining some folks on the stand. A great team win on this one.

Another NOT GUILTY trial verdict at Miramar, CA!

NOT GUILTY trial verdict in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not often the arresting officer has to admit to "lies" on the stand. Combined with mid-trial exposure of prosecution discovery violations, the jury needed just 45 minutes to acquit. Very well-deserved win for this Air Force NCO exactly one year after his arrest.

This one presented an initially concerning DNA report, but after some major work and cross-examination of the Expert and Agents, we exposed the truth to the panel. Sunlight (and dogged preparation) are the greatest disinfectants.

Another General Court-Martial Case Dismissed. Another example of why you go to war at the Article 32 Preliminary Hearing. Don’t wait for trial! False claims of sexual assault and assault made with impunity from DCFS in Los Angeles to a Divorce and Custody battle to the Army in Fort Gordon. The accusers and the “experts” that supported them finally met real cross-examination at the Preliminary Hearing. The case was “dismissed” in November after the Hearing, but the Prosecution said it was only dismissed “pending” a second retaliatory investigation that they decided to open against my client.
