In coastal Orange County, a view isn't just a bonus; in many cases, it's legally protected. View ordinances in cities like Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Corona del Mar can restrict landscaping, additions, and even fence heights to preserve sightlines. That means when you're evaluating a property, the view should be assessed with the same scrutiny as square footage or a renovated kitchen.

No one is arguing it's cheaper to buy elsewhere than California. Places like Florida look great on paper...until it doesn't.

Buying into the coastal California market means consistent and stable appreciation as opposed to more volitale markets. You know you're values will go up. You're buying more certainty.

And it's truer in the OC. DM me if you're debating CA vs. somewhere else. I'd be happy to walk through it with you!

Newport Beach in 2026 is a lot different than the Newport Beach of 2021.

The relentless demand that washed over the city has subdued, leaving many sellers scratching their heads. While there’s still demand and people will buy with the right conditions, the automatic frenzy is long gone. Sellers need to prepare their listings with the strategy and marketing that puts their home center-stage and ensures people know the value of the property.
