April 18th – 24th, 2021: National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Marsy’s Law and a look back: Kelsey Grammer’s discovery of his father’s homicide through the National Enquirer. https://lnkd.in/gTuXKRp
Domestic Violence Legal Center® joins awareness of Victims’ rights by recognizing the 40th anniversary of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) which will be commemorated April 18th - 24th, 2021.
Since 1981, NCVRW has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all Victims of crime. In 2008, the protection of Victims under Marsy’s Law Rights was first ratified in the State of California under the Victims’ Bill of Rights Act, which amended the State's Constitution.
Join us with continued awareness by reflecting upon the tragedy Kelsey Grammer experienced and how the State of Florida gained momentum by amending their State's Constitution to ensure crime Victims and their families are treated fairly and have rights they deserve. https://lnkd.in/ghwWghg
Thank you as always for viewing our posts and your mindfulness in considering these issues.
