09/11/2024
Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We honor the lives lost, the heroes who risked everything to save others, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day. It is a time of reflection and remembrance—a day that changed the world forever.
But as we remember, it’s important to also acknowledge the aftermath that unfolded in the days, months, and years following the attacks. Alongside the grief and the collective efforts to heal, we also saw a rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric and harmful stereotypes. Many innocent people became targets of discrimination simply because of their faith or appearance, enduring fear and hatred in a moment when we needed unity the most.
As we honor the victims of 9/11, let us also reflect on the ways we can come together as a society. We must reject fear-driven narratives and instead embrace love, respect, and understanding. True remembrance is not just about looking back, but about building a future where we stand together against all forms of hate and prejudice
