Estate planning is about more than deciding who receives your assets. It is about creating a plan that protects the people you love, including naming a guardian for minor children and keeping important decisions current.

As life changes, your wills, trusts, healthcare proxy, power of attorney, and beneficiary designations may need attention too. A regular review can help prevent outdated information and unnecessary gaps.

Our team at Integrative Legal PLLC helps Massachusetts and New Hampshire families create clear, compassionate estate plans tailored to what matters most. If it has been a while since you reviewed yours, contact us to explore your options.

A signed estate plan is an important start—but it should not stay on the shelf forever.

As life changes, your wills, trusts, healthcare proxy, power of attorney, and guardianship designations may need to change too. We generally encourage families to review their estate plan every three to five years, and sooner after a major life event.

A review may be especially important after:
• Marriage, divorce, or the loss of a loved one
• The birth or adoption of a child or grandchild
• A move to or from Massachusetts or New Hampshire
• Changes in health, finances, beneficiaries, or chosen decision-makers

The “5 Ds”—death, disability, divorce, distance, and descendants—are also useful reminders that it may be time to revisit your plan.

At Integrative Legal PLLC, our team helps families keep their estate plans aligned with the people and priorities that matter most. If it has been a while since your last review, contact us at (978) 216-3836 or visit https://integrativelegal.com/ to get started.

Beneficiary designations play a bigger role in your estate plan than most people realize. They determine who receives funds from retirement accounts, life insurance, and other key assets—and they can override what’s in your will.

Our team at Integrative Legal PLLC often sees outdated designations that create surprises for families. A quick review can ensure everything aligns with your current wishes and your overall estate planning strategy.

If you’re unsure whether your beneficiary designations are up to date, we’re here to help. Contact our Newburyport office to get started.

A last will and testament and a living will may sound alike, but they address very different decisions.

A last will and testament explains how your assets should be handled after your death and can name guardians for minor children.

A living will communicates your preferences for certain medical care if you are unable to speak for yourself. In New Hampshire, it is often considered alongside key documents such as a healthcare power of attorney and financial power of attorney.

Our team at Integrative Legal PLLC helps Massachusetts and New Hampshire families create estate plans that protect the people and priorities that matter most.

August is National Make a Will Month, and it’s a great reminder of how important a clear, up‑to‑date will is for your overall estate plan.

At Integrative Legal PLLC, we help families across Massachusetts and New Hampshire put strong plans in place so their wishes are honored. This month, we’re sharing answers to some of the most common questions we hear about wills and estate planning. Swipe through to learn more.

If you’d like to review your existing will or see how it fits into your larger plan, our team is here to help. Reach out anytime to get started.
