Now this is how you do pumpkin season 🎃! Might be worth a drive, is it too early to mention the crisp fall air and the smell of the leaves? 🤣

In just two months in New Hampshire, the famous “pumpkin tower” will come to life as the Laconia Pumpkin Festival gets underway with thousands of glowing jack-o’-lanterns, costume parades, live music, food trucks, family activities, and plenty of fall fun filling downtown Laconia. The huge pumpkin tower is the centerpiece, glowing after dark as crowds gather around it, while the streets are packed with decorated pumpkins, vendors, performers, and festival food.

Visitors can watch the children’s costume parade, see dressed-up dogs in the pet parade, catch the Wicked Witches of the Lakes Region, and enjoy live entertainment throughout downtown. Food trucks serve favorites like fried dough, candied apples, apple cider donuts, and hearty meals, while local makers and artists sell their work near the historic Belknap Mill.

The 2026 festival takes place October 23–24. Friday’s soft opening runs from 4–10 p.m., followed by the main Saturday celebration from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Saturday also includes the Runaway Pumpkin 10K and 5K, climbing walls, bounce houses, family activities, the Pumpkin Festival Duck Derby, and the evening lighting of the pumpkin tower. The weekend finishes with a colorful outdoor laser light show.
