Mays, Adjutant General of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. This annual seminar is dedicated to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and the lawyers who represent them. This kiosk is part of a statewide initiative providing vital information about Veteran benefits. We're proud to support our Veterans in accessing the compensation they deserve.

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Governor Kathy Hochul announced the availability of capital grants to expand services for organizations that serve veterans, service members and military families. At least $1.35 million is available through the third round of the Veterans’ Nonprofit Capital Program distributed by the New York State Department of Veterans’ Services and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York to support efforts to expand and enhance quality services available to the state’s veterans, service members and military families.

A webinar outlining the process for applicants will be posted April 9 and applicants may also submit questions through April 11, with answers posted no later than April 18. All applicants must be prequalified in the Statewide Financial System (SFS) at the time of application

Our Office of Veterans Services received an update that the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System is now able to vaccinate veterans who are enrolled in the VA and are 55 years or older, as well as enrolled veterans with underlying health conditions, are homeless, or are frontline essential workers at its walk-in clinic from 8:30am-3:30pm on Saturday, March 13 at the Castle Point Campus and Port Jervis Community Clinic. Veterans can call 845-838-7668 or visit the www.VA.gov vaccination page for more information.

Veteran Services Group attorney Vincent J. Pastore, recently ran the Great Cow Harbor 10K Run. This race is one of the more prestigious foot races in the country and Runner’s World has named the Great Cow Harbor 10k Run as one of the top 100 races in the USA. Vincent is a volunteer firefighter and for the third year in a row, ran the 10 kilometer (6.22 mile) race in turnout gear and a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) in honor of first responders, active duty military, and Veterans.
