⏳ Is your USCIS case taking longer than expected?
If your immigration case is outside the normal USCIS processing times and you’ve exhausted the available options, you may be able to file a Writ of Mandamus.
A Writ of Mandamus is a lawsuit filed in federal court asking a judge to order a government agency, such as USCIS, to make a decision on your case. It does not force an approval, but it can require the agency to take action when an unreasonable delay has occurred.
Many applicants are unaware that they have legal options when their cases remain pending for months—or even years—beyond normal processing times.
Every case is unique, and eligibility for a Writ of Mandamus depends on several factors, including the type of application and the length of the delay.
