Buying or selling a car in Ohio? 🚗 Please don't be a party to fraud!

❌ Never accept an Ohio vehicle title that has been signed by the seller but lacks a notary’s seal.
It is a felony for a notary to sign a title after the fact. If a title was signed incorrectly, the seller needs to sign again in a different color ink, under oath, in front of a licensed notary.

It is a fraudulent act for any notary in the state of Ohio to notarize a signature without personal appearance by the signer; they could face serious penalties, including loss of their commission and possibly a felony charge depending on the document. This includes car titles! Don't call me and tell me others have done it. Call the "others".
