UPDATE: Alexander is free!

Today, ICE agents arrested Alexander, a 21-year-old immigrant, in the halls of 26 Federal Plaza — mere hours after a federal judge barred federal agents from making arrests at New York City immigration courts Monday evening.

NYLAG is filing a habeas corpus petition to fight for Alexander’s release, because immigrant New Yorkers deserve due process and a system that values justice over cruelty.
