The right attorney can provide not only a strong legal defense, but also clear guidance, regular communication, and peace of mind during an otherwise difficult time.

In today’s world, it’s easy to form an opinion after watching a short clip online.

In a criminal case, however, video evidence should not be viewed in isolation. The surrounding facts, circumstances, and context all matter.

When your freedom and future are at stake, having an attorney who understands how to analyze the evidence and advocate on your behalf can make a meaningful difference.

If you are facing criminal charges or are under investigation in New York, contact attorney Scott E. Migden at 718-701-5405 to discuss your case.

In this day and age, cameras seem to be everywhere.

Every person accused of a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. At the same time, many criminal cases now involve surveillance footage, cell phone videos, body-worn camera recordings, or other digital evidence that can play a significant role in a case.

Video evidence can be compelling, but it is not always conclusive. The quality of the recording, the angle of the camera, what occurred before or after the footage, whether the video is complete, and how it is interpreted can all affect the outcome of a criminal case.

Every case presents unique facts, evidence, and legal issues that should be carefully evaluated before conclusions are drawn.

If you are facing criminal charges in New York, attorney Scott E. Migden can be reached at 718-701-5405 to discuss your case.

Whether you’re down 29 points or facing the possibility of 29 years in prison, as our legendary New York Knicks Champion and Finals MVP Jalen Brunson once said, “you’re allowed to think about the worst possible scenario, but you’ve got to go out there and do something about it.”

As a criminal defense attorney, one of the first things I discuss with someone accused of a criminal offense, is their prison or jail exposure and the worst case scenario. We address those difficult realities first, and then we focus on what we can do to help, building a strategy to achieve the best possible outcome and to make the best out of a bad situation.

If you or a loved one is facing criminal prosecution, call now to discuss how my legal team and I can be your champions, fighting for you in and out of court.

On the run from the law? If you learn that law enforcement is looking for you, a voluntary surrender can often make the arrest process more controlled, safe, and respectful than waiting to be arrested unexpectedly or in public.

Before surrendering, it’s important to understand what to expect, what rights you have, and how to protect them. An experienced criminal defense attorney can help coordinate the surrender, prepare for arraignment, and guide you through every step of the process. Depending on the circumstances, you may be held for arraignment or issued a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) directing you to return to court at a later date.

Every case is different. For experienced criminal defense representation throughout New York, contact attorney Scott E. Migden today.
