**The State of Crypto Summer 2025**
The Crypto Industry in 2025 can be characterized by three industry phrases:
"No crying in the casino."
"It's crime season."
"Crime is legal."
These aren't just punchlines. They're proof that something has gone deeply wrong in the crypto industry. What began as a conversation about financial innovation has become an ecosystem where fraud is expected, and accountability is mocked.
In the 1920s, unchecked speculation and widespread abuse in the stock market contributed to the 1929 stock market crash and the onset of the Great Depression. In response, Congress passed the Securities Act of 1933, followed by the Securities Exchange Act of 1934

1934-establishing the foundation for modern financial regulation. These laws empowered not only regulators, but also private civil litigators with both the authority and responsibility to protect everyday investors and safeguard the integrity of the economy.
At Data Fortis Law, our work is grounded in three enduring principles: justice, compassion, and integrity. These principles guide how we serve our clients, how we pursue accountability, and how we honor the constitutional framework that makes this country extraordinary.
Civil litigation is one of the last lines of defense in modern financial systems. It fills the gap between regulation and fraudulent activity. It allows ordinary people to seek redress when other avenues are closed. It facilitates innovation by enabling the protection of investor's rights.
We don't take these cases because they're easy. We take them because we believe it's our responsibility.
"We have not imposed undue restrictions upon business. We have not opposed the incentive of reasonable and legitimate private profit. We have sought rather to enable certain aspects of business to regain the confidence of the public.
We have sought to put forward the rule of fair play in finance and industry."
President Franklin Roosevelt, 1938
